I don't know if this information has been released yet, but do we know what screen options we're going to have with the 15.6" MSI GT60?
If not, I know that the barebones 15.6" you can build offers the following options:
- Matte (standard)
- Glossy (+ $75)
- 95% Color Gamut Matte (+ $165)
Assuming that the GT60 will offer similar choices, which would be better for gaming between the Glossy and 95% Color Gamut Matte? I've had my heart set on glossy, I just like the overall look and feel of glossy screens. A little of sunglare doesn't bother me too much. I like my colors as vivid and eye popping as possible.
However, I have also heard things about 95% matte. If the 95% matte and the glossy are about equal in color saturation, I'll probably choose the glossy. I guess they charge more for the 95% matte because you get good colors AND no sunglare.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks!

I have the 95% gamut matte on my GT683DX and it's a very, very impressive display.
Just a preference but going matte to glossy and now back to matte in my last 3 machines...I'll never go glossy again. The reflection is very bothersome to me even inside at my work desk...JMHO.
Good luck... -

Screens will be the same on both models, MSI ships the same panels in their machines, if you get another its because the shop has removed it and replaced it with another themselves.

Yep, the screen upgrades are done by the reseller and not MSI itself.
I personally would go for the best screen possible, which in my opinion is the 95% gamut matte -
There are pro's and cons of both. If you use your laptop near windows or around florescent lighting often, you will be better off going with matte.
Glossy displays are capable of darker blacks, higher contrast and greater color accuracy.
I don't really have the time to explain the technology's behind each display but if someone would like to know why glossy displays are capable of these three things, I would be more than happy to explain.
I like and use both types of display's. I prefer matte for working/reading and glossy for gaming/watching video's.
