I am looking for some opinions on this pc. Newegg has it for $700 so i am considering it. I am looking for reviews but i can find to many threads on it. Is this laptop a pretty good laptop? It looks like the chassis for the 17in laptops are all the same, are they pretty strong? Also is the laptop a hot laptop. My old MSI 16332 was really, really warm and was a major flaw.

I occasionally gamed on my old laptop with a go7600 gt. Will this ATI card be a major improvement. How will it handle games like Crysis and how is it going to be for the future. I know that it isnt the newest card but i am not looking to spend to much money on a laptop.

I guess what do you guys think on this. i am just looking for some support in buying it that i will actually like it.

    thanks.

Well, here are some of my reviews!!! For $700.00 it's a bargain! No laptop in it's price range can keep up with it. The looks and design is very nice. Quite light for a 17" laptop! Keyboard kinda funky and oh the 32bit os and partition that came stock sucks! I reformat it using Vista 64 Ultimate! This rig can be easliy Overclocked! it's an full AMD computer so overclocking is a must. For some reason the 3850 isn't running at full speed. Oh the AMD CPU sucks!!! even overclocked to 2.6ghz it still really slowed the 3850 down in 3d mark 06 for games the 3850 rocks! You should have no problem with it. Just don't expect Crysis to be super high and smooth, not even my XPS can handle maxxed out Crysis, any other games should be just fine. The heat exhaust are on the right side!( Sucks! who would think of the mouse playing lefty?) If playing games with a mouse, you'll want to keep your hand away from that. The heat exhaust can be some what of a heater and oh the power supply! It's diffenitly Hot!! Step on it with your foot and use it as a foot warmer in the winter. But for $700.00 I can't say that i'm not happy! I get a nice 17" laptop! It's also aluminum and over clockable using Turbo mode and Radeon Bios Editor! check out my pics!! and results!

I've got the 735, im a gamer, love it.

given a lot of honest reviews on it if you check my history.

runs crysis on high right out of the box really well.

it DOES get hot but its very quiet and it will burn your mouse hand.

its never shutoff on me or anything though but i really keep an eye on the airflow to make sure it's clear and I keep it elevated when its on my desk.

Did you have much trouble with x64 drivers? All I found on MSI's site was 32-bit XP/Vista drivers.

No! Vista 64 has all drivers except for the system control manager! Which would allow you to use your Turbo Drive or eco in 5 modes! Go to MSI web site and use the Vista 32 bit drivers it'll install it under x86 program file and works perfectly. The web cam as well and other 32bit drivers off MSI web site would work fine. I haven't install the Bios upgrade yet but I don't really know if it would change anything! For the ATI drivers I go to ATI's website and download the latest 9.6 64bit drivers worked fine! hope this helps!!!
