Just a question on my screen, its a Samsung LTN170WP-L02 I am sure its a matte screen, if anyone knows let me know and do all the 1722 ID2's come with matte screens, I never owned a matte screen its much diffrent from glossy, I prefer glossy.. matte is kind of grainy.. the viewing angles are amazing though, and the colors really pop.

Its not glossy, with it off it looks sandy if you know what I mean. Are all matte screens kind of grainy??

then its matte for sure and yes most matte screens have that "screen door" effect making them appear a bit grainy

matte will always have better viewing angles than glossy imo at least almost every screen i have seen normally does and in a lot of cases i actually prefer matte to glossy personally.... especially in a sunny room or out on the lanai
