Hi guys. I live in U.A.E and am looking forward to ordering a new laptop from US.
I don't know the trend there, but to all those tech geeks who keep their eye on the prices all year long:

Do Black friday sales and Cyber Mondays provide a good deal when it comes to latest gadgets?
I want to get the GS60 - 064, which is still on pre-order. In the past, have these sales affected the prices of latest stuff?

Black Friday tends to appeal to the retail locations that people can shop at in person, though some etailers have good deals on Black Friday. You may find similar, or in some cases, better deals on Cyber Monday from online retailers (or 'etailers'). That goes for the latest gadgets, too. :)

I'm not sure what you mean here. If you're asking whether the sale prices during these retail holidays affect future standard pricing, then I think that is subjective to each seller, but generally: no, I don't believe it has a big impact.

If the model is a pre-order then most likely you won't get much of a price discount. You might get a bunch of freebies like free games, mouse, mousepad, etc etc. which of course you can sell on eBay or something to get some money back. Just takes a little bit more work.

Black Friday generally have pricing impact on popular items but not always on the premium ones, unless the manufacturer has decided to move forward.

So from your past experience, have manufacturers introduced some price cuts on their new premium products on special occasion promotions?
