    Yes the SSD itself is 7mm high. So a 9.5mm spacer is provided in case you need it.

    As for installing it in your laptop, I'm not fully sure bcoz I don't know details about this model. But I think your laptop has a 9.5mm HDD slot same as most other laptops. Although you may be able to install the SSD without the 9.5mm spacer I think its safer to use it as to avoid damaging the SATA connector.
