    Hey guys,

Is there a way to restore my GS60 6QE (006US) to factory settings? I'm not sure if the built in restore function will restore the laptop to factory or will wipe it completely. I didn't make a restore image or anything. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

So are you just wanting to restore the settings back to factory but not the entire system?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I want to restore the entire system back to factory default (i.e. I don't want to save any files or anything)

You should be able to do a factory recovery by pressing F3 as it turns on and that should boot it up into the windows recovery mode.

Thanks Alex. There is an option to restore to factory image through the menu that comes up by pressing F3.

As long as the factory recovery partition isn't compromised or deleted altogether, you should always have that safety net to fall back on. The OEM recovery puts the computer back to factory/out of the box condition. You can wipe it only by using your own media to format or delete volumes.
