    Yep. Just make sure you get right size ODD Caddy for your laptop. Common ones are 9.5 and 12.7.

    In my GT72 I am using an ICY BOX IB-AC642 which is 12.7 I think.

    I understand that the Gt80 uses 9.5mm, please confirm.

    I not sure as I don't own one however you can measure the BD-Rom drive to find out.

    The plan is to add a 1TB 860 EVO 2.5" SSD which will result in 9TB total in the machine.

    Eventually I will put a 4TB Samung 860 2.5" QVO in it. Once the price comes down to something more reasonable.

    That will result in 12TB.
