I have the id1 and want to replace the panel with a brighter, tastier option--

Does anyone have info on the panels included, such as the connector type, and what brands/panels will mach up to the casing?

I'd love to have an e-ips panel but don't think they make it yet for 17".

After some research I found the LG LP171WU5 panel for about 260 bucks... it has 1920X1200, a 100 rating for color saturation (most are around 40-50), 300 brightness rating, 8ms response time, and RGB LED backlit. It also has an LVDS 2 port connector. No idea what type of connector is on the ms-1722.

Any thoughts, ideas, and recommendations would be greatly appreciated! :D
