Hi, so I kind of had a thought on this...
Since the GT62VR model, and its equivalent barebones 16L1 (on say the Eurocom F5), have the same exact audio layout, 2 speakers, 1 sub, Sabre ESS dac, and 4 audio ports on the right, isn't it possible to use the drivers from the barebones on the MSI? They are both technically realtek drivers, but MSI bundles theirs with terrible software, and it seems the the barebones have the old Realtek drivers with the better software.

I would try this myself but I have yet to purchase the laptop, and i wouldn't recommend anyone to do this unless they know what they were doing, since its possible to mess up your audio by installing the wrong drivers. Now I would just go with the barebones model, but sadly I got to go through amazon because of all my points :(

Both retail and barebone share the same driver set, not to mention that Realtek audio driver is universal. Therefore, if you do not want Nahimic on a MSI-branded system, simply install the generic Realtek audio driver from Realtek's website then Nahimic won't be installed.
