Well within literally weeks of the one year (battery) warranty expiring, the battery in my GT60 started going flaky and losing capacity. I talked to MSI support and they said I'm SOL and won't help me out.

The replacement units on the official MSI web shop cost $180 and come with only a 30-day warranty. Does anybody know of a reliable, legitimate source of batteries for the GT60? Ideally they would have a physical store presence somewhere in the Greater Toronto Area, but at a minimum I need somebody who will ship to Canada.

    Thanks.

    Staples. That was easy.

On a whim I stopped in at a local Staples, and the guy at the "easytech" counter said he could order the battery and have it for me in 4-5 days. $108CDN and it comes with a 1-year warranty, which is a whole lot better than the deal from MSI.

    Bricks and mortar FTW.

Very nice, sometimes brick and mortar is worth it if you need it THEN. I don't mind overpaying by 10-15 dollars if I need it and they have it.
