    A few questions:

    1) What is it updating? MSI's website doesn't seem to say what the update actually does.

    2) Is flashing the BIOS "safe" or is it easy to screw up and send your laptop to computer hell? What should I do in preparation of flashing the BIOS, etc?

    3) Is the BIOS update really necessary? Should I stick to the principle of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"?

I have yet to get around to doing the update ( I run Linux, I have to burn a special cd, things come up, etc. ) but I am hoping that there will be some sort of virtualization settings added. I'm not holding my breath. Of course, if you aren't having any problems and aren't looking for the possibility of expanded features, it won't hurt you not to update. So, until someone posts what has changed and it is beneficial, or you just HAVE to be on the bleeding edge, there isn't any reason to do the update.

I did a BIOS update on a 1013 and had no problems. It appears to be a fairly safe process.
