    Red/Blue vertical lines on the side of the screen on GT75VR

    I noticed this veritical lines on the screen when I open up applications like Google Chrome, Steam, Spotify, or while playing games.

    But they are not visible when it's all in black background or in BIOS screen.

    Is this a hardware or software issue?

    Yes. They are visible even in safe mode.

    The fact this happens in safe mode leads me to believe this is a hardware issue. Have you tried connecting an external monitor to make sure it's not video output from the GPU? It could be a screen issue.

    If this was software aka driver related then it would not show up in safe mode or BIOS.

    The vertical lines in both edges of the screen are not visible in BIOS screen, during startup, and in black background. However, it is more visible in dark grey background such as Steam with default skin.

    I will try you suggestion by connecting it to an external monitor when I get back home tomorrow.
