    Recomendation of MSI GT780DXR-095US?

    Hi, i´m new in here. I´m from Argentina and i will be in NY in 3 weeks, i was looking to buy a notebook for video editing and also for playing. At first i saw the Asus g74sx but then when i read their forum i saw that they have a lot of problems, then need to install lots of drivers and updates at the first start up, and also that they needed to get their notebook changed because hardware issues. After reading all that i started looking at the MSI GT780DXR-095US, read good reviews, beter score at benchmarks, didn´t saw all the problems of asus and now i´m looking forward to buy it when i get to NY.
    Do i need to install and upgrande lot of stuff since the first boot up??
    How will it handle it with After Effects, boujou, 3dmax, Avid??

    It will have everything installed already. Some drivers may be outdated, and the new ones can be found in the gt780 thread. I'm not familiar with those programs =/, but I assure you that it will be a fast machine!

    MPerni, it has been a while since your post--Did you have any luck with the GT7880DXR for video editing? I'm interested to see how well it works with Premiere, AVID, and After Effects. Would love to hear an update if you get time!
