Hi, I have a Ge72 Apache Pro, I've been having issues with it heating up while gaming, last week it started making loud grinding noises, so I sent it in for repairs and was told the fan was damaged, they replaced it and I just got it back.

My idle temps were 32-40 before replacing fans, now just playing flash games my laptop is getting to 55c

I mean, before I sent it in for repairs, I couldn't feel the fans blowing and one of the fans wasn't being recognized, it is now and I can feel it, however, my warmer idle temps have me concerned. What do you think?

Here is a copy of my dxdiag:

I hope they didn't break something.

Could be just the re-paste job after the fan was replaced. If you know how to repaste the thermal compound try with IC Diamond and I am sure it will make huge difference.

I'm not sure how to do that, I've never taken apart a laptop before.

Not sure what specific model you have, but there are youtube videos that you can find that show a teardown of the computer. Like this one is for a GE72, for example:

@Autumn Peirson = If you go for opening it up per Pat's video, just be sure to ground yourself; don't want to do any ESD damage to any of the components (otherwise it's off for RMA again).

Thanks everyone! I'll give it a try.
Just a quick question, cause now I'm a bit confused on my temps.

I have coretemp running and it says my current temp is 33c, however my dragon gaming center says my laptop is at 50c, the keyboard is very cool, usually it starts to warm up a bit.

Which one of these programs are more accurate?

Check to see what Coretemp is reporting, specifically. The Dragon Gaming Center gives you CPU and GPU temp readings; maybe Coretemp is giving you a PCH or HDD reading.
