    Hi,

I can't flash the Bios to the latest release.
My notebook camed with no OS. I installed windows 7 in LEGACY mode and AHCI. (nvidia drivers continued to fail).

After 2 days i buyed an msata 60GB for cache and installed 8.1, but in the Bios there was no more RAID mode (only IDE or AHCI shows up), NOT even shows the Intel RST string. Everything was there on the first start up (both raid and rst options).
I tried to flash the Bios (with .617 version), all the procedurs getting ROMID ERROR always and also the forum tool failed.

    Here the system information

    the sata controller option available

    359d1d58d6830722271e10c896a3fed7.jpg

and the error i get, also from bios utility

I just want to set RAID0 and the msata in cache mode, also update BIOS maybe can fix the nvidia driver problem, completly a shame that the gt750m crashes every application in both Windows 7 and 8.1.

Every reply or idea will be appreciated, thanks for your time.

Have you selected the right kind of bios from the download page?

Retail MSI units all ship with an OS, are you sure it's not a barebone unit?

Nope the picture is wrong, the Notebook it's the newer one. I upgraded the BIOS and the RAID is not anymore an option, but 100% there were there on first start up.( I from buyed germany)
I don't know why they make only not RAID BIOS, maybe they think that having the raid is just too much for that price on the cheapest machine, but this is just a shame.
That machine fully support RAID0 (intel HM86 does), also have the msata slot for that purpose, there is full of videos with guys on previous BIOS setting identic machine in RAID0. I just want to roll back to stock BIOS.

MSI let's you flash an older bios, but like I say you need to figure out which version you actually have. If it has no MSI logo on it you need the barebone bios.
