A couple months ago, I sold off my MSI MS-1651 to a family friend. A month later, their 3 year old Acer laptop's monitor started going on the fritz, and they decided to get another one. I told them I couldn't get another cheap 1651, and started looking at other units, only to realize the GX620s were on sale.
That would give them 2 relatively identical systems. Good for accessories (spare batteries/AC), backups, etc.
The new computer has 32 bit Vista, from what I've read. The 1651 image I gave them was Vista Home Premium 64 bit.
What I plan to do is load my system image from the 1651 to the 620, and update drivers (4965N to 5100N) & put in the new key.
But, I'd like to know what it has for recovery discs. Does it come with recovery discs (system images), installation discs (OS + drivers & Apps), or is it something that has to be built?
If it's something that has to be built, can anyone give me a step by step I can pass on to the owner?

Well i know some of the machines have utilities on the OS that burn recoveries for you, (you should notice empty disks included with the gx) But im not sure if it is the case with GX, ive seen it on the 725 so prehaps it runs in the MSI family
.
Hope this has helped. -
The GX620 will come with 2 blank DVDs for you to burn the recovery images after initial startup. Be sure to burn the recovery discs before loading the 1651 image.

That's what i'll do, or rather have the owner do.
Quick question regarding recovery discs for MSI GX620.
