Do both BIOS & EC update to ensure the best performance of your system.
Per MSI, sometimes the BIOS & EC are released at the same time for best match.

...it's not my system [I have a 4710HQ]. Just wondered before I go recommending a 5700HQ equipped GT72 to someone.

Btw, seems like msi released a new bios update last week for the broadwell,

    "Update MCU 306D4 rev.22.
Note For GT72 models with the 5th Generation Intel ® Core i7 Processor." any info on that it does?
