Hey folks. I'm coming from an old Malibal P170HM that died on me recently and have been looking for a new gaming laptop. I recently saw an MSI GT62VR Dominator Pro-087 at Microcenter for $1400 and have been thinking of grabbing it but wanted to check with NBR MSI experts to get your thoughts.

I've read through the owner's lounge a bit and have seen some issues with screen tearing and backlight bleed.

My main concerns are with cooling (had cooling problems with my clevo), especially since this will be my first experience with a 15" laptop. If there are cooling issues I will probably go ahead and get a 17" but this GT62VR-087 with the GTX 1070 for $1400 is kind of hard to beat.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a GT73VR and a good friend has GHT62VR, has has similar temperature as I do, mid 70's with the GPU/CPU at stock speed with an easily tweaked fan profile. So if you don't mind the smaller screen at 60 Hz then I think you would like it.
