Hi guys i just bough a MSI GT70 2OD but like the laptop im geting it, it dont come with mSATA when I read the offcail site quote" less waiting and more playing with dual 128GB SSD's in RAID 0 gets you into the action faster with read speeds over 900MB/s."
    1. so is that mean i can only install two 128GB mSATA ssd?
    2. or I can install more GB if i want to?
    3. im trying to make sure that is not limited, and should i reinstall my mian system into mSATA? And is that ture i leave my window 8 in mSATA drive will help my laptop performance better?
    4. if i can install, with more then 2 128GB so can i do just with 1 240GB? and leave other spot empty? like how it comes?
Hope some one can help me out with these question.

    There are 4 different GT70 2OD models.

1: if the one you ordered came with mSATA then it will have the 3 mSATA adapter on the primary bay and you can always add 2 more mSATA SSDs even your model came with only 1 mSATA SSD. If your GT70 2OD does not comes mSATA and instead, it's a rotating drive then it does not have mSATA adapter, you can only use 2.5" SSDs.

2: Yes on both mSATA SSD and 2.5" SSD or HDDs.

3: It's not limited, you can swap out the mSATA or add more mSATA if you want to, however, it's recommended to get the exact same model and brand if you want to make RAID-0. also you do need to re-install factory image or Windows if you want to create RAID.

Yes Windows and programs does perform much better on any SSDs than rotating drive.

4: You can install any mSATA SSDs up to 3 mSATA. you can install 1 240GB mSATA and leave other spot empty or keep it as AHCI mode and install OS on 240GB and leave the 128GB as storage. if you want to do RAID make sure use same brand, same capacity and same part number SSDs.
