    Hi All,

I've been trying to connect my MSI GX660 (15.6", res. 1366x768) to an external 20" LCD monitor with res. 1680x1050 to play starcraft 2.

When a lot of things happens on the screen my computer laggs. Changing graphic settings in the game dont make any difference - the same with ultra/high/medium settings.

When you lower the resolution on the monitor the quality gets a bit poor.

Any suggestions on how to deal with that? I was thinking about gettin an 18.5" monitor with the same resolution as my laptop (1366x768) - will that help?

any other suggestions - many thanks

Just out of curiosity, when you connect your external monitor, are you duplicating the desktop on both screens, or are you making the external your primary? There could be a lack of GPU power if the former is the case.
