I'm having a problem with the function key that sits next to the power button on my MS-1035. Pressing the button once set the system for wireless, the next press for bluetooth. However, for some reason, it is not recognizing the bluetooth anymore. I tried updating the drivers for the bluetooth with no results. Windows XP cannot seem to find the bluetooth portion of the card either. I'm hoping somebody has a suggestion that I might try.

    Thanks

    Is the card properly wired?

I will begin by saying that I didn't even know how this multifunction button worked when I first got my machine. However, I do know that if bluetooth is disabled (using that button) the bluetooth radio device will not be listed under device manager.

Are you saying that even when the computer thinks the bluetooth is on, it is not working?

Okay, I have an update to this problem. I uninstalled everything to do with the mini PCI card. I reinstalled all the WLAN drivers and utilities with no problems. However, when I went to install the Bluetooth drivers via CD, it gets to the point where it is installing the bluetooth audio drivers and I get this on the screen:

"The file 'kstvtune.ax' on Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD is needed"

I took a look around the net and found that this driver primarily is used for PAL TV tuners. It seems that the last MS update put some security features for this driver in place and is messing up some tuners installed on systems. However, I don't see how this has anything to do with bluetooth audio drivers. Does anybody have an idea on how I should proceed?

I should also point out that my system is properly updated. I pulled out an SP2 disc to see if I could find this driver that it wants with no results.

I'm totally lost now. I did a search of the drive and found the file that it needed. It then needed me to search for a .dll file and so I found that as well. I find this all odd as it did not have these probelms when I first installed it. Anyway, the Bluetooth device now shows up and says that it is working properly. However, the fundtion key at the top still does not activate it and the device is still not appearing to BlueSoleil. Windows sees it, says it is working fine, but I still cannot get it to function. I don't understand what caused this problem in the first place as I did not touch any settings after I had it all up and running.

Contact tech support. I had the same problem with my 1013. I had an RA Link chipset and my computer would only detect bluetooth if I had the improcomm chipset. MSI swapped out my wireless card.
