I have a T6400 CPU. If I power the laptop on the computer it shows the screen with 3 options: 1. tab 2. del. 3. F11. If I hit DEL to enter setup it doesnt go to the setup but it goes to the post screen, it knows what processor I have, but will not do anything else, it will sit there:
Press F12 key for LAN Boot
Press F11 key for Boot Menu
    Initializing USB Controllers .. Done.
    4096MB OK
My Bios is 1.0E. Do I need to find another CPU to flash the BIOS? Everything is seated correctly.
Anyone know the cheapest processor I can get that is 100% guaranteed to work in this bare-bone?
    Found this: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=399855
Exact same problem I'm having except with a different CPU, guess I have to update the BIOS.

No you don't need another CPU to flash. Try to reset the CMOS or updating the BIOS.

Its not the CPU, nothing would be on your screen...

Bios might need the update like you said though, try aquire a friends or a cheap one.

Memory is OK, I already try 4 different sticks from working laptops. The problem is in BIOS. I need different CPU and upgrade BIOS, but I don't know what CPU will work for 100% .

It's no mandatory but it would be a good idea to do it.
