    Newegg.com - BELKIN F5C400-300W Power Inverter

In customizing the systems on the MSI resellers pages, I see the Belkin 300W Anywhere product listed for Car adapters.

Is the above link the same 300W Anywhere adapter that they are selling/recommend?

Basically I'm looking to play on my laptop during lunch, as I'm normally eating on the go, and after I eat, have a little free time prior to getting back on the road.

    Would the above suffice?

not really. the inverter says 300W but you have an issue with it being through a 12v aux port if you need close to that much power

    12volts ( electrical system ) x 15Amps ( your fuse box for accessories) = 180 watts

now nothing is 100% efficient so lets say a bit less unless you want to wire that thing right to your battery. MOST inverters rated over 200w have battery clamps for that reason.

if your laptop pulls more than 150watts you could be in trouble, ( ive killed a few fuses with an m17xR2 )

An inverter will work. but only directly wired to a battery. when plugged into a cigarette lighter it will only avg 80 watts for a 200 watt inverter and the power supply is 180 watts with MSI GT78x and GTX570M/580M.

The best bet is a direct wired 400-600 watt inverter.
