We have had several threads for the major contributors to our community to show our appreciation for their labors of love to us all. In addition to me, we have done the same for @Prema and @D2 Ultima. Now is our chance to collectively show Brother @Phoenix how much we appreciate him. If someone with a BMW M4 cannot afford something, there is something really wrong here and maybe is better to start to work to earn money (when I put year ago my first 17" Winter tires, I must choose beetween PC/holiday and some other costs because the outgoings were huge!)

Charity is for poor people that cannot live better without it. Is something to eat , to aid, to live, to work.. not something new to play with all "friends"!

Sorry but Phoenix made friction between us in the past (u no speak americano? NO) and I dont like how Phoenix pose himself against many other newbie here, starting from language barrier, he is like a prince of nothing.

About me, I never heard his "voice" or read his useful post (beside the only one he removed, the Win10 mod thread) because his support is very basic and useful only to someone missed the 101 of computer age.

Brother @aaronne - Thank you for your candor. I mean that. I know you were sincere in what you posted.

I consider you and @Phoenix to both be a friend to me and to our community. He has been here for a long time, under previous user names prior to his current. He has always been very generous and helpful. Even if his computer skills are not as advanced as some, they are more advanced than a great number of the people here, and he has always been willing to take time to help someone that needed it as long as they are a respectful individual and not a pest. As @Donald@HIDevolution mentioned, this is more about giving back and showing appreciation rather than an charitable contribution to a person in need. Like having the opportunity to be a blessing to one who often does the blessing. I am not wealthy, but I am also not poor. Same can be said for @Prema and @D2 Ultima - and all three of us received tokens of appreciation. There is a time and place for both of those things (charity and just being a blessing to a friend to say thanks).

I am sorry there was friction between the two of you because, as I mentioned, I like you both and consider you both to be a friend in this community. Maybe the two of you can bury the hatchet, so to speak, and start over again. I hope so because both of you are pretty great people.

As for me owning a BMW M4, so what? I put all my life''s saving to get my dream car, I ain't rich. It was my dream since I was a kid and I got it and I am the same person I was before financially, not rich, not even close.

thirdly, it is your opinion and right to not appreciate my tweaks as you mentioned, that is up to you, but 1000s of others have and know me from my vast step by step guides. Not trying to justify anything here, just saying.

and finally, as @Mr. Fox stated, this is not a charity for the poor, we did this many times for Prema, Mr. Fox, D2 Ultima, and a few others. We are one community that shows love and appreciation for one another and we have a long history.

I thought they have tons of gold in dubai and everyone are all super rich . Well , seems like it is not true . Phoenix is a helpful person ,but i thought he is also super rich considering he own an expensive laptop and an expensive car . Haha . Though i don't have any money right now to donate to you , good luck with your new purchase .

 

This is not about how rich nor how poor a person is. It's about the community showing some love and gratitude towards someone for all the help that person has been giving to the community. Just like the community has done so in the past to other members to whom have helped out the community greatly.

What kind of shallow thinking is that? Just because a country is rich and has sky scrapers, expensive police cars, the tallest hotel, etc. doesn't automatically make people who live in it rich!

This is the most expensive city to live in the world, it's almost impossible to land a job anywhere these days without connections, they have just implemented taxes here as well, we can barely survive, me, and thousands of others. News flash, you don't find golden eggs under your pillow each morning when you wake up. Maybe in Vietnam they do but certainly not in Dubai.

And it has been mentioned more than once already, this is not a charity thread, it's a gratitude thread like we've done for many other helpful members here. If you don't wanna participate, then don't. But stop with that I thought you were rich because you are in Dubai BS!

I don't know Phoenix personally, and have never received any help or assistance from him ( I never asked). I spoke to him once around a year and half ago and I swear we could've easily continued talking about PC/Laptop's for hours !

He might rub people the wrong way at first, but hes very straight forward, honest and blunt in his remarks/comments.

However, one thing is clear, he is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he knows and always likes to share and make a difference on these forums. His contributions are all over these forums and the different sections.
Although I don't participate much of these forums. I can easily tell that he is among the selected few people that I can always remember on top of my head that make these forums worth coming back to over and over the many topics they discuss.

Brother @Phoenix is just an awesome person, he helped me many times especially with my new EVOC machine to set it up. It's kinda funny that he's just a couple hours of driving away from me....we should meet for a cup of tea & have a nice chat!
