So apparently this new 560m is getting the following results without overclocking:

    3DMark 06: 16591
    3DMark 11: 1959

This is done with the 275.27 verde drivers, which really improves results over 26x.xx drivers. But i havent done any overclocking yet.

    Base Clocks are:

    Core Speed * 775 MHz
    Shader Speed * 1550 MHz
    Memory Speed * 1250 MHz

Has any one done overclocking?? If so please post ur stable results, as well as drivers used to achieve that score in order to compare. thanks

Not bad! You basically reached my level, nice. It's a shame my memory can't be overclocked as you guys heh.

Now I only need my 920xm.

Thats an impressive OC with the 275.5 drivers. 2625 is indeed impressive. The GTX 485 scored 2668 with the early 26x.xx drivers. still its uber impressive. How are the temps holding up with that oc??? is it sable, artifact free??

That's weird, GTX485m should score over 3k at stock. Maybe it was really bad drivers or underclock heavily.

GTX460m/560m are very good overclockers. Temps should be fine even in high clocks.

The temps with turbo fan on are never a problem, always in the low to mid
    70's, and yes its stable.

Yes indeed. new drivers with the 485 score 3100-3200. just stating that the margin between the two cards has become slim with this type of overclocking.

this information is useful for people who want to buy the new 560m to form a general idea of how future proof it is, or isnt. the 560m is relatively a new card and this results provide usefull information for us.

    Thanks to all

Does the VBIOS allow a voltage increase or is it locked as on the 460m?

Dump the VBIOS, best would be from within DOS with NVflash to make sure it doesn't get corrupted, and then check whether Nibitor already supports the VBIOS (probably not).

You could also try Nvidia Inspector, but I'm not sure whether it allows to change the voltage for mobile cards... I'm not that experienced with Nvidia cards.

I am impressed yet not surprised by ur results with the 5870. Not to sound angry or pedant, how can u compare the 560m with a 5870?? This thread is specifically for people who OWN or planning to BUY a laptop with the 560m. If we could we would magically transform our cards to the 580 sli.

Point said, please do not bash our mid-to-high end cards, though i apreciate the benchmark since now i can compare.

The OP simply wanted to know want performance increase he would get from the beta drivers and from oc'ing the 560m, I think we all know the 5870m is a very good gpu but the threads title is oc'ing the 560m not comparing it to the 5870 and really who cares of your opinion of its cost and appearance. Try to stay on topic and stop derailing the thread.

No, it can beat the stock 470m, but not by much. The 570m is a beast, impressive but pricey card.

Not yet, but the stock 470m gives about P9000 GPU score in vantage, now assuming a 15% performance increase with the 570m you should get about 10k-10.5k vantage GPU score, at stock. That's just below the stock performance of a 6970m.

The 470m is a very great overclocker and the VBIOS allows a slight voltage increase, assuming it will be the same for the 570m it should be able to perform almost like a 6970m.

Back to the topic... @Flapo, or anyone with a 560m... can you upload a copy of the VBIOS please? I want to take a look at it.

This works, best method to dump the vbios is always booting DOS and using nvflash to prevent the dump from becoming corrupted, but this works for now, thank you! +rep!
