Cancelled my 725 from XoticPC today as HP released a 30% coupon valid on the HDX18 monster and after upgrading the CPU to a T9400, 7200 RPM HDD and 3G RAM, the total came out $100 LESS THAN the 725 (non BR model)! My order total came out to under $1300 shipped :) :D  .

I'm not much of a PC gamer so the 9600GT should be fine and the added BR is a plus.

The larger screen size, better sound system and the EXCELLENT price is what sold me on the HP. To start off with, I had already posted previously in the 725 thread saying I was waiting for the 30% off coupon to make a comeback and this couldn't have been better timing.

Just wanted to take time to say 'thanks' to the regular posters in this section and the people that took time to respond to my PM's as well. Enjoy your 725's (it IS the Gateway FX killer now!!).

    Later peeps

glad you'vegot a good deal; if you don't game that much, then 4850 is definately overkill.

For an extra 200, you can get a BD drive as well. If you got the money and want that extra 1.4 in, go for it.
