Odd request for GT725 owners, can someone take a photo of the keyboard with a DVD case along the bottom of it?

As topic title suggests, is anyone able to take a photo of the keyboard of the GT725 as if you're looking directly on it from the top with DVD cases lined up along it?

The reason for this is because I currently own as 12inch Dell XPS m1210 laptop which is small, of course, but I want to be able to "judge" how big some buttons are. Apparently my current laptop is a "full size" keyboard but I realised that some of the keys that appear tiny on the GT725 may actually be the same size as my own current keyboard.

Please use as many DVD cases (placed horizontally) as required to fit the lenge of the laptop. Overlap if required so I can have a better overall estimate.

I'm assuming the GT729 shares the exact same shell/keyboard as the GT725 because as far as I know the 729 only had 1gb of video memory instead of 512, so I just want a look!

Thanks in advance if you take the effort to do so.

I can hook you up with that after I get home this afternoon if no one else has by then, but would you maybe want a shot with a ruler/tape measure instead.

I know what you're thinking though, I counted pixels in pictures and compared it to measurements to find pixels/inch, etc. Anyway, for now, the arrow keys, question mark, and a couple others are smaller than you are used to, and almost kept me from getting the GT725. Since the first 1-2 days I have made absolutely zero typing mistakes because of it. Perhaps if you have large fingers it might be an issue, but I have been pleasantly surprised at how little I notice.

Thanks, and yes you're right I am still concerned about the keys, just like I was 6 months ago.

However I am not looking to do the pixels/inch etc thing, but instead I can use a DVD case to judge more accurately.

I appreciate you for offering to do this (if no one has already). I am also at work right now. My fingers are small too but you'll never know!

I can't help but think that a tape measure is a better suited tool for this job.

True, but I don't have one (never had a need for one) so the next best thing was something that is standard.

I was repairing a family member's laptop earlier doing some usual cleaning and was surprised how on the Acer 6390g the shift key is tiny on the left, while on the MSI it's on the right that it is tiny, which I don't usually use as often as the left one.

Hmm, what if you turn off numlock? Surely then the keys would be ok? Or is numlock 100% on.

If it does work then I can live with that.

nope, it didn't work, i just thought they did, lol. But it doesn't matter. PageUp, PageDn are good enough for me.

I tried your suggesting with numlock, hit the PgUp button (which is home button when used with the fn key). I thought it worked, but it was just going up a page, I'm an idiot

Ah ok. Good attempt though hehe. Oh well. And yeh I was thinking the same thing, if I hit page down enough times (or up) I'd get to where I want. Failing that I could always use my mouse and just drag the thing down.
