So im assuming the HDMI port on the gx640 is output only. But does anyone know any other possible solutions to displaying realtime video on the laptops LCD? Im on a limited budget and being able to say use my 360 on my soon to purchase 640 would be something i could see my self using.

I think what you're looking for is an HDMI capture card. Blackmagic is a popular choice for desktops but as far as I know, they don't make one for laptops. Matrox has some equipments that can be hooked up to MacBooks, but it might be cheaper to buy an LCD TV.

Something for the pcmcia slot perhaps?

Cheaper to buy a small lcd monitor for your xbox 360. dont bother connecting it to your laptops screen.

Ronnie is right , just get a monitor

Had a scour of the web, its doable over usb but at 10 frames its apserlutely useless lol, will keep an eye out for pcmcia devices.
