    OC xm chip on 16f2/gt68X?

    Hi all!

    I recently purchuased new cpu for my lappy, 2960xm, but i cant change Tdps on bios or multiplers. With thorttlestop only rises to 34 four cores and XTU only have info. My bios its Xonars unlocked last version.

    It would have to be a reprogram and add into the bios since it lacks the functionality rather than somethingbeing locked.

    Pd. This nootebook its amazing. only faulty oc cpu and fly! At this moment on 3d mark 11 bench its +7500 and the temps its preaty good. I love this lapy!

    Most gains will be from gpu tweaking anyway and yes its a lovely machine to play with.

    Yep the MS16F2 is a great laptop. Just recently upgraded to a GTX770M on mine and it never goes near 75c. Also answer to the topic. The Overclocking seems to be locked down in the ME Firmware by what i am reading. I have tried to dump the ME firmware of my 16F2 with no Luck. but as meaker says the most gains are via GPU tweaking.

    It was one thing that made the 16F2 slightly less desirable, if it had that then you had no optimus to worry about so could have just given it a bit extra edge.
