So I looked through the first few pages and I'm not noticing any kind of thread on this model. That alone makes me a little hesitant I guess....but are there any thoughts here on this version? I'm basically looking for a model in the ~$1,500 range and this one caught my eye.

Users on NBR focus more on the premium models.
Check GE72VR Apache Pro 010 out, as the price is about $1550 right now.

There are forums that discuss about it below.

Most users on here are mostly scratching their heads at the GE62/72VR this gen. Their pricing makes absolutely no sense as the laptops don't have G-Sync as the GT62/72 models and yet they cost the exact same LOL. IMO there is 0 reason to pick those models over the GT series.

I'm interested in the GE62VR. The GT is unfortunately too fat and not business appropriate enough for my needs, while the GS has too much fan noise. The GE62 seems to strike a nice balance between the two.

I agree with Talon though that the pricing is the worst part. Work will pay for my PC so its not an issue but if I was spending out of pocket I'd be more hesitant.

Pricing isnt that similar, theres a good few hundred £ difference from what I am seeing. GE is like £1350-1400 GT is £1600+

Our comments were made when the prices were the exact same. Just recently it seems MSI adjusted the prices on the GE series laptops and made them cheaper than the GS and GT series.

I picked up the GE72VR during the monday sales. I'll be posting my thoughts when I finish putting it through all the steps and test.
