im torn on whether to replace my 3-year-old ms-1013 with one of these.

basically it almost entirely fell apart, due to crappy cabling for the adaptor, wifi, screen, etc.

it stil works, but ive had to replace the adaptor, wifi antennae, cut off the colored power cables and touch them to the chassis to power up etc

mainly because, without the volume discount for SSDs, youre going to get a much better deal just buying from Apple or HP or whoever. plus proably a premium since the Montevina chips are so new.

last time around it was a no brainer as i built for 1K what would have cost 2K from apple or dell

Very good features (HDMI and 3 USB) but lack of eSATA support! I can wait until MSI comes out a 12" with eSATA.

Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone out there had one of these and could let me know the quality of the built in speakers. I have a MS-1013 (12," got it Summer '05), and the speakers are terrible, so I'm hoping that MSI has managed to progress in that department.
