Hi, this is my first por in this great community and I would like to hear your wise opinions. Recently I've found a laptop that fits to my tight budget (around 1100 $): the MSI-ge620dx. Basically is an upgraded MSI GE620 with the nvidia's GT 555 (prolly the capped one). I would like to know what is the performance and overall value of the "DX" version since I can't find any especifical review. I'm also concerned about purchasing a MSI laptop since I heard some terrible stories about delivered machines full of blue pixels on screen that are not replaced or fixed by the company wich customer care seems to be pretty bad.

Thx in advance for any advise

Welcome to the forums. I myself just joined yesterday because im also in the market for a gaming computer and i wanted some feedback.

I was also interested in this specific model but the one thing that steered me away to find better models was the 555m gpu. Personally speaking i like to game with eye candy atleast 3/4 high or everything ultra. The 560m is what i would recommend atleast since its a huge performance difference and its something that u cant really upgrade. Its up to u and the type of gamer u are which will decide on your purchase. If u dont really care for eye candy and simply satisfied on just "running the game" then i think this model is an excellent choice. ( also depends on the games u want to play). If u do care for eye candy i would recommend the sager np8130 with the 560 gpu or the powerpro 12:17 model with the 570m gpu :). The sager is a few bucks more and the powerpro is about 200 bucks more but welllll worth it since its high performance specs for dirt cheap. Im also interested in the build quality of the msi and there laptops over all i really like them. Hope this helps!
