Yea, the same here... But I think I could get refund for mine is still at a warranty repair.

    (Conspiracy warning)
But I think the new GS63vrs and GS73vrs with GTX 1070 in them will not be available just in a few months. Now there will be new ones with Kaby Lake processors, but basically the same machines (same cooling, internal layout...) and then they will be focusing on that new models with GTX 1070.

I sooooo want (and don't want) to wait... :(

As I understand, it is very possible just a typo error for this spec.

Because I already find this new gs63vr-7rf already on the local market where I lived and the spec is 1060 not the 1070.

MSI didn't even show these laptops at CES, with 1070s, so I'm more willing to think the website is erroneous.

@Donald@HIDevolution has confirmed the existence of GS73VR and GS63VR - but only for the 4k variants. He does not know when they will land. He said the cooling will be suitably improved for efficient heat dissipation. @hmscott can confirm.

Yes, 7RF are versions (most probably) with 1060s, but it should be called 7RG with 1070s, as I understand. And will be expensive as hell.

I would love this GS73VR model with a 1070 inside too. I only hope they could launch it in a more serious-office/western/I've only been 12 once/ model look. More like my old and broken Samsung Series 7 NP700Z7C

Imagine travelling having business, office + gaming system ALL in ONE with only 2.4kg weight! My god :D

The other concert might be there's only 1 M.2 slot and the ugly shape and size of MSI power bricks, compared to Dell/Alienware/Razer/EVGA and with a 1070 inside might hit 90C ALL the freaking time... :p

Looks like MSI pulled the 7RG from both International and CA sites.

    Hopefully this just means delayed.

Definitely shoots right to the top of my most-wanted list. I wonder how they can beef up the cooling -- adding thickness to improve the surface area of the fin array?

I just purchased a GS73VR 7RG from iBuyPower... it was listed as coming with the GTX 1070...

However it was then removed from their website, and replaced with the model including the 1060. MSI's website used to show the 7RG with a 1070, however it no longer lists it all of the sudden... definitely makes me a bit nervous. When both the dealer AND manufacturer remove the product simultaneously it makes one wonder what's going on.

I've called iBuyPower and they have promised me that my laptop should be arriving with a 1070 inside it, but at this point I am still sort of skeptical since there are literally no other dealers (especially in America) that are selling a GS73VR with a 1070...

They say my order should be shipping by the end of next week, so time will tell I suppose.... So far this thread is one of the only sources I've found that has discussed 1070's in this MSI model, I'll update this thread here once it arrives, keeping my fingers crossed until then.

Hi, please let us know how it turned out as soon as possible! :) If they're shipping the new 1070 models next week, that's great. On that Canadian site they expected to ship those models early in February (French site says by the end of January), but I wonder why all of it was removed (global MSI site, Canadian MSI,...).

What is confusing to me is how iBuyPower was able to get their hands on the 7RG's if MSI isn't even releasing them yet... again, when I called iBuyPower's customer service they were pretty adamant that if it says 1070 on the order specs, then it will have a 1070...

They are currently building my laptop at iBuyPower, and I won't be overly surprised if I get a phone call this week from someone saying "yeahhh about that 1070, that was a mistake"

That said, I paid $400 more for a 1070 model,

Dual Power Adapters would be sweet. 240W psu for Nvidia 1070 to use at home and a 120w or 90w for traveling/commute to office/work, just using the intel integrated graphics.

Looks like early February, from the German and French listings I've seen. Depends on your priorities - GT is easy to maintain, cooler, thicker and heavier. GS is thin, light but quite hot.

Looks like the 1070 is also making its way into the GE62 and GE72VR machines. They can be seen on MSI website and have a redesigned cooling exhaust vent and most likely an enhanced thermal solution inside. This leads me to believe this is going to happen on the GS63 and GS73 and will probably have a similar exhaust vent and thermal solution redesign to accommodate the extra heat.

    https://us.msi.com/Laptop/GE72MVR-APACHE-PRO-7th-Gen-GTX-1070#hero-overview

You can clearly see the revamped exhaust in the pictures.

I certainly hope that the GS series with 1070 has redesigned cooling. A GS63VR with a 1070 that does not overheat or throttle (a very small chance, but a chance nonetheless) will be a really excellent laptop.

Amazon is already listing the new gs63vr with 7th gen but not yet the 1070. There is a review that is saying there are some improvement on speakers, screen and ssd (nvme) compare to the 6th gen version.

I'm sure most sellers will have them up as more information is available on official specs, prices, and availability date, and will try to have it available as soon as possible. It wouldn't be like models with new graphics cards that aren't announced, and are under non-disclosures agreements, but probably just waiting for more info.

Thanks for the tip. The only thing that worries me about the 1070 GS63VR is temperatures. If I find it can handle the heat, it will be a very serious contender to be my next laptop.
