I bought the laptop yesterday and went into to MSI homepage to get the newest drivers and firmware updates etc. Now after I run that NB EC Firmware update my wireless networkcard is not working. What can I have done wrong here.

    I followed everything here:

MSI Europe ? Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more

My network card is a Wireless Intel Wifi 5100 and the wired Realtek PCIe GBE family

If I flashed wrong is there anyway to undo?

I have access to everything. Just not a working networkcard

I haven't update the BIOS can that be the reason?

Reason I ask is that I hardly dare flashing the BIOS now that this didn't work out well :(

But there seem to be some similarities between the two: Both have the:

'Support WLAN auto detect function support'

I believe you're supposed to update the BIOS before you update the VBIOS.

Edit: Nevermind, I was thinking of the wrong thing. Sorry.

Flash it again. Sometimes it happens, it shouldn't be something to worry about :) ... most of the times :)
Now, you have to use ONLY the *.BAT files for flashing both BIOS and firmware.
First switch off your laptop, take out the power cord, remove the battery, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds and then switch it on and flash the Firmware. You usually don't need to do part with the power before flashing, but since you've flash it already, do it. After flashing it again, repeat the spets with the power. After that everything should be OK.
Ofcoure I presume that you are aware of the touch buttons on the panel on top of the keybord :) and you really have problem with Firmware ...
