    Need the firmware for the 1651 that disables the OC button.

    I might be selling my 1651 to a family friend, and I don't want her PC freezing up because she accidentally brushed the hidden Turbo button with a Merom in the unit...

    what you need to do is warn her about it... not gimping the notebook =)
    You could go into bios and set the overclock to a lower setting so even if she
    brushed it by accident it still should work fine

    No, if I hit the button, the system freezes. Only solutions I can think of are going back to the older firmware (it can always be flashed back if need be), or replacing the CPU with a 1067mhz FSB Penryn.

    There's no option to set the OC to 0, otherwise I'd have done that already.

    just uninstall the system program for now then the button will not work
