Greetings,
So I am debating whether to go Sager NP9377 with 980M SLI or MSI GT72 980M. What will help me make the decision is if the MSI with single 980M can run 2 monitors 2560x1600 @ 60Hz one to play WoW/Diablo III/Starcraft II/LoL and similar MMORPG at max settings and other screen to do work on office/browse .. etc or if I will need the Sager NP9377 980M SLI to achieve that and no, a desktop is not an option for me.
Anyone with any information or experience please chime in as this information is vital for me!!

Reminds me when I used to have this setup with my current GT60 http://i.imgur.com/b6G9YbE.jpg
I doubt the GT72 will have issues doing what you want it to do, but I think you should check 980m's gaming capability at such res, to ensure you get the performance you want. LoL and other MMOs shouldn't be much of a problem, but some games definitely will.
And if you are not in a hurry, it seems MSI is working in a SLI machine too, which can be an interesting prospect... -

The gt72 can output to 3 4k monitors at once. Two at a full 60hz on the mini display ports and the hdmi can either do it at 30hz or a reduced bit rate. It can do the resolution you are after with no compromises on the hdmi.
All this and it can use the internal panel at the same time
Note that to do this it needs to be in dedicated mode. The rules are a little different in IGP mode. -
I wonder why 980m still does not enable HDMI 2.0. What a waste of potential. I hope someone comes up with an active mini dp to HDMI 2.0, otherwise my 4k TV will always be limited
Need information on MSI GT72 running 2 2560x1600 @ 60Hz Monitors
