Hey guys, due to my budget limitations I am planning to buy MSI GT70 2OC and I was wondering if itruns BF3 smooth on max? or at least on high? Also, how do you think BF4 will perform on it? max settings? or at least high?
I'll be using this laptop for University this year so gaming won't be the only thing i'm going to use this laptop on. Also, is there a difference between the GT60 and GT70 in performance? I don't mind my laptop being either 15" or 17" but if there's a performance bonus or something that would make it better then the other when I play BF4 please do tell me :)
    Thanks in advance!

Yes. That laptop comes with a 770m. A 770m can play bf4 with pretty much everything either on high or ultra at 60fps. If you want to spend a tad more, get the one with the 780m and you can even crank up things like AA and the like.

But long story short, the 770m will have no issues playing BF4 and have it look great.

Okay thank you for the reply! I assume the size of the screen/resolution is not going to make any performance difference right? Also another question, what about the noise and heating of the laptops? Which is better? or are they both the same?
It's just that i'll be using this in my lectures and I wouldnt want it to be making noise haha

the gt60 and gt70 are pretty quiet when just doing normal things- email, surfing, etc. it's a mixed bag when gaming but from what i've seen and read, it's really not that bad.

there are 2 fan models - NStech fans and T&T fans. NStech fans seems to cause a bit more noise. still cools the laptop the same but just noisier compared to the T&T fans.

i think the performance should be about the same. it's basically the same hardware except for the screen.

here are some benchmark scores and FPS for games - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M - NotebookCheck.net Tech

Just like all the guru had listed above, 770M is designed to able to handle BF3 in high. 780M is recommend for BF3 in ultra.
If you choose the GT series, the major differnt of GT60 and GT70 is the screen size as all features are there on both sizes.

BF3 will definitely run very smoothly at 'high' settings, but it should run at 30+ FPS on Ultra with a 770M as well.
