My barebone came without an optical disk, where can I find one? I checked RKcomputers and they only have PATA drives for MSI... If I understand correctly due to the cover, regular drives don't fit correctly on MSI notebooks. What do I do?

i know frosty had them but he was asking like 120 for them on ebay... other than that not much you can do.. i was told a normal one fit but didnt look very pretty but i have not tried it myself

I found this relatively cheap blu ray drive: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=330329333158
Would it work on the MS-1651? Does anyone have a picture of what a drive without the custom msi faceplate look like when it's installed? If it just a cosmetic problem to not have the msi tray cover then I couldn't care less about that inconvenience... -
Heres the one for it I believe:
http://cgi.ebay.com/MSI-GX620-GX630...temQQimsxZ20090430?IMSfp=TL090430125004r12982
That blu-ray one will work but it wont look right due to the wrong bezel. I'd go with the blu-ray of course as long as you dont care about looks, much cheaper. -
Thanks......

for the ms 1651 pretty much any SATA drive will fit. The actual ones cost alot more and fit properly though (as in matches with the shape of the laptop).
Need an optical disk
