    Hello,
I purchased a CZ-17 in October 2012. This is a rebranded MSI GT70. I've had continual issues with the AC/DC jack and after the 4th or 5th repair, I've been told I need a new motherboard as the work done on the motherboard by various repair shops has damaged it. It still works now, but I have to fiddle with the cord to get it to start charging.

What form factor considerations do I need to account for in seeking a replacement motherboard?
    Can I upgrade the motherboard?
My current setup is the MSI 1762 I think -(How can I confirm?)
    32 gigs of RAM
I did have an issue a couple years ago when the 670M graphics card went bad - IBP sent it back to the manufacturer(MSI I think) and I got upgraded to an 880M card since they didn't have any 670M replacement cards(YEAH!)
250G SSD card also added along the way.

    Any ideas?

    thanks,
    Matt

Aliexpress, Ebay, DHGate etc. - new or used prices hover between $160 and 270. But getting rare I think.

    Hello,

I did find an old email stating I have an MS-17621, but I am unsure if any MSI-17621 version will fit. I see version 1.0, 1,1, and 2.1 on ebay.
Does anyone know if all of them are the same form factor? AM I better off springing for the later version? Maybe it fixes the issues with the AC Adapter?
I found an old email from MSI from 2015 addressing the same issue and they stated - (607-17621-xxx) would work.....Reaching out to them now to see if that is referring to the version info or something else. The same email stated my board was 607-17621-05S, Main Board.

Anyone know a good service that will do the part swaps on the Mobo if I buy one? :)
I can add a hard drive and memory....but a new mobo in the laptop is a little beyond anything I've done before.
