My keyboard bad or is this a design flaw?

Just got my MSI GS72 Stealth Pro, customized from XoticPC. Everything is running pretty good, except for the keyboard. More specifically, the space bar. It seems if I press on either the left or right upper hand side of the bar, it doesn't register unless I use more then usual force. Everywhere else on the bar, though, it's fine.

Unfortunately, the way I type I'm hitting exactly those parts of the space bar 90% of the time. I'm trying to adjust my typing style so I'm hitting more towards the center of the bar, but it's pretty lame that I even have to do this. Is this happening for anybody else, or is my keyboard bad.

Every computer is a little different in how they are designed, like where the key switch is placed within the space bar for example. I know when I got my MSI a couple years back, I had to adjust a little bit to mine coming from my old laptop. If it was having issues registering anything on one side completely, then I'd say it might be an issue with that requires looking at.

If you do have any questions on your system or the space bar, feel free to reach out to me, or our tech support team as well, and we'll be glad to help out. Thanks for purchasing it with us, and I hope you really enjoy it.

Neah, the space bar on MSI GS72 is the worst in the world. I just received my MSI GS72 from GentechPC and the space bar doesn't register keypresses on the left/right 1cm.
I'm not talking extreme positions but the left and right 1cm (that's the 5th part of an inch).

Went to 2 FNAC shops, checked 2 GD72s, a GS70, a GT and 2 GPs (all 17"), none of them had any problem with the space key, even the slightest press at the extremes was registering.
(not like my GS72 which registers light presses only in the middle then, as I press towards the margins, I have to press harder and harder, at extremes not registering at all).
    I sent mine to service.

There were some changes to the steel series keyboards with some of the recent models. I'm not sure if they adjusted some other internal workings of the keyboard, along side the lining of the keys.
