Need help with my nvidia card.

    Msi x640dx
    Core i5-2430M
    NVIDIA GeForce GT540M
    6GB DDR3 RAM

    Problem:
The video card keeps disappearing. Installed latest driver. Then the card will randomly show up in device manager. Then randomly disappear. Once gone I can't access the Nvidia settings.

Get an error " An NVIDIA graphicd card was not detected in your system "

    .......................EDIT........................

Ok seems like I found part of the problem.

Did a clean install and the gt540 was still not detected. So I poped open the back cover, applied light pressure on the card. Now the card is beeing detected again. Seems like the card was loose.
