Screen is completely black, the fans start going but I hear no sound. It wont even enter bios. Whats wrong? Is my motherboard fried? Or do I need to flash my bios?

Sounds like you already did flash your bios...

You can try disconnecting the AC and battery for a minute to see if that helps, my 1036 occasionally gets stuck (especially after a freeze) and must be disconnected like that.

What happened was that the laptop locked up during the startup with the company logo in the bios. Nothing worked at this point, so I had to unplug the battery in order to turn off the computer. Now it only shows a black screen when I turn it on.

I did try removing the AC and the battery for a night, but it was just as dead next morning.

Flashing the bios means resetting it to default, which I think would fix my problem, if it is my bios that isnt working correctly. Problem is that I dunno where the cmos battery is placed.

Remove the system doors, the battery will be in view. It should be coated with plastic with 2 wires, remove it from the system board for about an hour. Also make sure A/C and main battery are removed. This should clear the bios, i have seen this correct similar problems.

I have exactly same problem, PC won't boot at all. It is similar to thread=77678. :(

Does this mean that I have to unscrew and remove the cover to get inside of casing?

What I am supposed to do afterwards? PC should start without any problems or I have to restore the system?

    thanx

My 1022 used to do that, I would hold down the power on button for a few seconds longer, and it will usually boot up normally. But I'm not experiencing the problem anymore now, though I'm not sure what I did to fix it, sorry.

Another universal MSI problem no one will admit to.
