I got my wind today! But I am having some trouble with the speakers and I don't know what's wrong with it :(... I tried playing a random youtube music video and the sound quality is horrible. I mean, the background music is very very loud and the singing is very quiet... there's also LOTS of echos too. I tried plugging my headphones in and same thing. I checked the volume and sound settings and they are all balanced... so what's wrong here and how can I solve it? Please help :'( Thanks..

Is there any inbuilt mic in your system, if yes, check whether its on or off, if its on, mute it or disable it.

I muted them all, not as much echos now. I noticed that the youtube videos sound normal now, just that it's very quiet even when I turn the volume way up (while system sounds such as messenger is super loud). However, any mp3s and videos (avis, rmvbs) I play are still kinda messed up with background music way louder than the singing/talking... it's like everything except the background music is underwater. Am I missing some codecs or something? I installed Windows Media Player 11, The KMPlayer (all the codec included) and Real Alternative.

In the realtek audio manager there is an options for "effects" water included! also a neat thing that erases lyrics from music. try that area.
