I am Using the stock OS the laptop shipped with drivers are mostly upto date the crashes occur regardless of over clock and regardless of what im doing on the laptop sometimes it even crashes when i shutdown the laptop sometimes in game sometimes browsing chrome so you get the picture. I have whocrashed installed and i cant make sense of what i should do next im thinking fresh install but id prefer if there was another way however i did make a recovery usb when the msi popup prompted me to but knowing my luck it probably doesnt work haha. here is a copy paste of whocrashed report.
I would really appreciate any help/advice please let me know if you need any further information from me

When exactly did the crashes first start? Have you had them since you bought the laptop? Did you update to the windows redstone (Creator's Edition) update? Did the crashes start after updating to the Creator's update?
I would first try to install windows clean, from scratch. I can't help with the "Home" edition with the embedded key. But if you can somehow get access to a valid Pro or Enterprise license, that would work as well. I'm pretty sure you can even install Enterprise on a clean install and enter the license key later and at least get to use windows. If you do manage to do a clean install, the VERY FIRST Thing you should do after you get into windows is download SHUTUP 10, run it and enable everything so you DISABLE windows updates. I dont know if you can find a build prior to the Creator's Edition versions, but regardless, a CLEAN install should at least be needed regardless, even if you find a Creator's version ISO.
After you get a clean install of windows, go to the main MSI section to the MSI Titan Pro drivers thread by Phoenix and get the updates in his links. Then see if you are stable or not. If you wind up crashing with a completely clean install of windows, then you know you have hardware problems---very likely RAM related although could be something else failing.faiz7957 likes this. -
Falkentyne im 90% sure they started after updating to creators edition the reason im not 100% sure is because i updated windows after around a month ofvery light use of the laptop. Recently it seems to crash more when i try to shutdown the laptop i find this very odd. would restoring from the MSI backup recovery i made remove creators update? I wouldn't say the crashes happen relentlessly sometimes it can go days without a bsod sometimes they happen twice a day.Is there anyway to test the ram to rule it out as the cause? And finaly is there any way to repair damaged windows files to see if this helps.

Probably a lot faster to just find an Enterprise Edition windows ISO somewhere and download and install that. My only experience with that abortion knows as Creator's is, on the laptop I bricked, my old GT683 whitebook; it was running fine (although slow, as you would expect from a 2630QM and 570m) with windows 10 pro (using my windows 10 key from my desktop, which is still running 7), but then when I updated to the Creator's update, the HDD Started getting some EXTREME DMA pauses, causing windows, games and other stuff to just freeze hard. No BSODs, but I was getting tons of DMA errors. After I bricked the laptop trying to remove the HDD (this led to me buying a GT73VR), I put the HDD in my desktop and --no problems whatsoever. Not a single error anywhere.
Then I used the HDD to copy files to my new laptop (that had a fresh brand new install of W10 Enterprise now). Zero errors. Problem with freezing was 100% creator's update. Perhaps a CLEAN install of the update would have worked. I upgraded the windows 7 on it to windows 10, which worked fine, but then upgrading THAT to Creator's and all hell broke loose.
You can get all of the ISO's from the digitallife forums, as I think one post links to Microsoft's technet archives. There's also other stuff there which I won't discuss. -
i used the sfc /scannow command in command prompt to verify windows files it said it found errors and replaced files so i will see over the next couple of days if the bsods stop. i really dont want to go through the hassle of reinstalling windows as i feel like so much can go wrong.

Idk, man. You're literally doing everything except what I suggested... :/ I mean I wish you good luck but I don't know what you expect of me....

sorry its not that im ignoring your advice simply that reinstalling windows is like a last resort i wouldn't want to run into more problems if they could have been avoided any other way.

Before that abortion called windows 10 Creator's was released, I might agree with you. But already having had an OS hosed from that update, and having a fresh clean install fix all problems, that's what I suggest, and unless you have files you absolutely must have on your PC, wouldn't a clean wipe be faster than doing all this testing?
I see three possible issues:
1) bad device drivers caused by buggy updates/Creator's Edition/upgrading from previous windows upgrades/windows editions.
2) bad SSD drive/bad hardware.
3) defective RAM.
What is the easiest and cheapest to solve/troubleshoot? That's just how I see things.ryzeki, Papusan and Kevin@GenTechPC like this. -

I would go for a full clean install too, after updating BIOS/EC to the latest versions.
