Ahh awesome, and a reasonable price too! Not the crazy 2 grand+ we've been reading about on these useless webs :D

Oops, i guess it has no bluray drive.
I thought it did, because MSI Netherlands was planning to include it with the Dutch GT725 version, but the GT725 was put on hold here and eventually never came out. That's why the GT729 came out here first too i believe.

Anyway this shop has better specs (and a better price):

That's cool. Would that price be considered good? I'm just comparing it to the MSI-GT725-212, which has the 1920x1080 screen and blue ray player, vs the 729 with the 4850 1gig and 500 HD. I don't remember reading about those downgrades, that's a big bummer. That seems a bit steep in price for two downgrades and two upgrades considering it's $600/400 Euros more than the 212?

Yeah, the price is pretty good. You should keep in mind that the Netherlands (and much of Europe) has much higher prices than the US. Just to give you an example, the GT627 (similar to the 218US version) was introduced here for 1300 euro.

Also, you shouldn't worry about downgrades. The specs i listed are specific for my country. I'm sure the US version, like with other models, will have the better screen, blu-ray and faster HDD.
