Is there gonna be a GX 660R like laptop, but with 460M? I'm gettin my laptop in october, and i like very much the GX 660R. However, if a 460m version is gonna appear by then, that will be the better choice for me.

If MSI decides to make such a laptop, i highly recommend them to go full dimm, and offer 4 dimm slots instead of 3. The advantages are that you can fit the maximum amount of ram the PM55 chipset support (16Gb), and there are 16Gb of dual chanell memory, not 12Gb of single chanell memory.

I realy do not know if the PM55 chipset supports 4x8gb=32gb of ram memory, but 16 gb should be plenty for the time being.

With these being said, i would definetly choose a 460m version of the GX 660, more so if it were to have 4dimms.

I'm guessing we will see a version with a 460M GTX but not for a while.
Why would you need so much RAM?
4 GB's is plenty for just about everything.

460m vs 5870, ati wins; whats the point of a 2min battery?
16, 32gb, it wont be utilised until you plan on insane stuff with Maya/Max or running the lappie as a low-end server.

I want to get me a laptop that i will use for the several years to come. 4 gb is ok now, but what about 4 years from now.

5he thing is i'm not even sure 4gb is enough for me now, for instance i tend to leave lots of internet tabs open and opera alone utilizes well over 1.5gb of ram...

With the ram the quote is, the more the merrier.

And if money permits one should maximize the amount of ram installed in a system. I hope they make a 460m version of the lappy, and hopefully, sound systems like dynaudio become the norm. Even if we use speakers or headphones, it's painfull to see laptops such as the d900f, esspecialyy the d900f which has plenty space, with such poor speakers.

Going from 4GB to 16GB is the cost of a laptop in a few years anyway, save your money lol.

Unless you run CAD programs or something that needs more RAM 4GB's is plenty for gaming and even keeping 20 internet tabs open.
I can't fortell the future but let's say you do get only 4GB's of RAM you can always upgrade yourself cheaper and very easily.
Adding more RAM would probably take less then 5 minutes to do yourself.

It looks like a dynaudio nvidia gpu laptop is the GT 760

    Look here:
NVIDIA shows 16 new Optimus laptops at Computex, teases GTX 460M GPU -- Engadget

So, for all y'all retailers out there:
Any news of this model ?
Just asking, because by the time i get me my laptop, wich is in octomber, this model will surely appear.
The thing is it's either this or the GX660 (1080p).

The GX660 has the advantage of being 15"
The GT760 has the disadvantage of being bigger, but it might be a SLI machine.

I wonder if there will ever be 15" version of the GT760, like a GT670 or something.

There could be 2 reason why they went with a 17" machine:
Either it's a sli laptop or the thermals of the 460 didn't allow the engineers to fit it inside a 15" chasis, in which case we will probably never see a 15" version with the 460m, wich is kinda sad.
