Never heard of a X9300 but assuming he means the Quad QX9300 which would be a no. But has anyone tried the Dual Core X9100? Works on the G50 series thats why i ask we dont have quad support in out bios either.

High T9xxx used goes pretty cheap I would just go that route, I did.

I would stay away from the X9100. It has a TDP of 44w which is the same as the QX9300. Given the limited heatsink in the EX625 I think you would be better off with a P series, though a T series shouldn't be a problem either.

On the new market the T9900 is cheaper with the same specs, unless the bios supports multiplier overclocking the X9100 is a waste of money and battery life, if the motherboard even supports the power. Unfortunatly on the same note ebay X9100's are cheaper then new T9900's. Paid 260 for my used T9600 love it.

All P socket processors should work.

If its the intel pm45 chipset in this also, you can cross bios with other msi machines but at your own risk (it has been done before with gx700 and gt725 to unlock quad overclocking with set fsb)

Yeah excluding anything the bios doesnt have support for, and anything that exceeds the power capabilities of the motherboard, not to mention merom santa rosa socket p units arent a great idea lol.

Bios must support the cpu, chipset does alot the motherboard has to be tailored to to actually support. Yeah editing the bios might work, still doesnt mean it will actually support the power draw of X and Quads at full load.
