I am again a proud owner of another MSI laptop. Today I recieved my 1722 ID2 red and black from an ebay seller, $375.00 was to good to pass up. I will throw a Quad core in it and test it out. Not sure if I am going to sell it or not. Its brand new sealed in the box. I just love the build of the 1722 ID2 its nice and solid, no keyboard flex what so ever. Its not the same keyboard as the 1651, looks like it but its not. Anyways I will keep you posted on how it preforms when the rest of the parts get here. :D

    Here are some pic's:

Thats a low price, atleast for what you are getting, hope its leggit and not a stolen unit :)

The 9600 is a nice card, it should handle nicely.

Thats good, the Q9000 will work nicely too, just make sure the bios is right hehe :)

I dont know about overclocking however, the q9000 seem to get a 2% rather then 20% boost :( according to users this is.

I skipped the quad, they are to costly, and got a P8600 for 129.99 It overclocks to 2.8GHz which is enough for me. I still have my Gateway but I will be selling it. I dont like the design of the FX series. Heres the run down:

    1722 ID2 - $375.00
    P8600 - $129.00
    320 7200 WD - $70.00
    4GB OCZ 800MHz ram - $39.00
    WiFi link 5300 - $20.00

I doubt it would work plus is can be quite costly. The 9600m GT is enough for me, I am a lite gamer. The only thing I am going to change is the LCD, It has a matte and I will probably go with an LG WUXGA glossy.

I sold it to my cousin for $800.00, I only paid $699.00 for it from tiger, it was a refurb. I'm just not into Gateways anymore..
