Hey,everyone. My first time posting, but I read a lot here.
So anyway, I am most likeley buying a MS-1039 soon [See sig for specs] and I was wondering if anyone had any comments/information I might need.
Also, would this notebook be a sufficiant gaming computer? I hope so. The Mobility Radeon X1600 should be smokin'.
What should/could I carry it in? Any good deals? I think Im gonna buy the barebone and WLAN from rkcomputer, and parts from newegg. *With the 1680x1050 screen of course since Im a gamer..
I cant wait to say ba-bye to my desktop..

well, to be impartial, the turion processor is a bit slow in comparison to the core duo. also, a lot of games such as oblivion are optimized for dual core processors, so you would see benefits there. as for the x1600, it should be fine for most games at mid-high settings, though you probably won't be able to use those settings on native, and will probably have to scale down to at least wxga resolution.

anyway, are you asking what kind of bag you should carry it in? if so, you would be better off asking in the accessories forum. also, we have quite a few reviews of notebook bags in the reviews forum.

From Zach's review "It also seems like you must use more force than most notebook keyboards in order to get your keystrokes recognized."
Is this true? If it is, how can I fix it?

Yes it is, but it is something you will get used to quickly from using it. I use one every day and have no problem at all.
It is not something that can be "fixed"

And also i see that you have the "Antec cooler" in your list. I would advise to not get that unless it blows air up at the laptop (which i think it sucks air away). I say this bc the 1 bottom fan on the 1039 sucks air up into the core and if you got a cooler that sucked air away it would be counterproductive,

Also what do you mean by the thermal paste? you are going to put it on yourself after you recieve the notebook?
