link is the picture the part circled i was thinking can be removed seems like its hotglued on?

now the other part attached if it is removeable can i make the whole thing out of copper? or is there another source that is better for heat and how thick should i make it? like mm size? and sorry for the small size took it on my iphone too lazy to attach it to my comp to upload so i emailed it.

If you guys think this will work if anyone has a gx720 vga heatsink for sale ill buy or if you have gt725/735 heatsink for sale ill take it or know a place where to get message me.

I tried that same thing with a GX620 heatsink.

The thing you want to remove is soldered on. If you heat it up enough, it falls right off. But if you heat it up too much, the whole heatsink could fall apart.
Also be careful when you try to get the new copper on, don't use a lot of force when you clamp it or the heatpipe will cave in, then it wont work anymore and your temps will be high like mine were.

I'll try to upload a pic of the mess I made. It went so wrong that I gave up and bought the 3700m.

If you don't want to try to re-solder the copper onto it (which is a bit hard), you can try using thermal epoxy.

EDIT: I used 1mm thick copper. You could try using silver, but that stuff is not cheap.
One more thing, looks like there are a few different grades of copper you will find on ebay, one of them is the best for cooling, I think it's spec C101.
